Hear My Fervent Plea

Forgive Me, Forgive Them, Thee

Dearest and most merciful God Almighty from the highest heaven ,
With a pure heart and open mind I plea,
So ashamed am I to come to You but here I am,
Gathering my courage, much strength and faith,
Please don't turn Your back on me, for without You I am nothing.
I committed sin before Your Holy sight, I transgressed Your commandments,
Yet Oh Father You never leave Your servant,
In spite of my shortcomings, in spite of my faults
I deserved to be forsaken but was redeemed by Your love and guiding hand.
Shall I lose my way towards salvation?
Shall I let darkness conquer? Shall I resist temptations?
Until the very end, true and ever I will be,
Righteous, firm and steadfast unto Thee.
Thus, My Lord, worried as I am of how Earth turned out including humanity.
I am but not in authority nor power to speak,
On their behalf, I ask of You
Grant forgiveness to thy people ---sinful, selfish, vile, wicked, evil ones
May You not let Your ire prevail,
They don't know what they are doing.
Let Your light of truth shine brightly instead.
Even it is next to impossible I still wish and hope
If not much to ask,
"Not even one being would suffer from eternal despair."

I was trying to write a sonnet. Seems like it turned out to be a free verse.
