it's been awhile

Never posted any blog for quite awhile. . . .

Being a graduating student in college is a tough one. (Include the fees, they're like avalanche dragging you down to the deepest abyss of oblivion [over exaggeration & redundancy intended^_^] ) I'm doing my thesis. I have the concept but i don't know exactly how to start the whole thing. I've printed lots and will have to read'em all after this. I have a goal. I want to reach it. So, I'd make myself more productive today and stop doing things that is not worthy of attention. Ja ne. Ganbatte !!! :)

Baguio invasion

It's been two months since we attended a seminar entitled “National Seminar-Workshop on Current Trends and Issues in Language Teaching” held at Teacher's camp. This is our second time seminar about our specialization and like before, it also did something great to me.
I was really excited and looking forward for this event. Though it cost great deal of money, I didn’t have second thought on joining. I wanted to broaden my knowledge, experiences and intellectual growth. I was sure I would come although I wasn’t asking for my parent’s approval yet. We did all our best, grabbed our guts and tried to ask help from our loved ones. We were fortunate enough to make it. It’s indeed a luxury. I never regret it. I am willing to invest money no matter how it cost to achieve my greatest dreams. Besides, it’s the knowledge and wisdom that can never be stolen.(was afraid of the cute horse..wuuu..it's moving..)

I found the topic really interesting since it deals with the current trends and issues in language teaching. I also loved the place where it was held. We stayed there for about a week and I felt much relieved, far away with the worries brought by stress in school. Just like the first seminar we attended, we were the “youngest” participant and it felt good having the opportunity to be there and mingle with professionals.
Mines View
We’re very thankful for having our professor Ms. Victoria S. Fernandez. Without her as our mentor, we would never be what we are now and know what we’ve learned from her and our other instructors. We owe them a lot for everything they have done and given.
The scarfs was given by Mam Vix. Hehe. She also gave her colleagues (our instructors in COE too). Plus, we brought them "pasalubongs". Hope they liked it, though not so expensive. =( I honestly almost spent all the money I had that time. No regrets though.

The speakers of the seminar were 2 from PNU and 1 from DLSU. I admired the second speaker most who’s from PNU. She delivered it well and had an interactive discussion. It was three-day seminar-workshop. I learned a lot from the activities and grateful I was to hear the voices of English sages. One day, I’ll become one like them, hopefully.

Of course, this long journey ain't enough without going to different tourist spots . We went around Baguio and deng enjoyed it. We tried cosplaying hehe, Ifugao dudes. (hahaha) It was really a remarkable experience.

Next time, hope no one would miss this one-of-a-kind experience. Remember, seize the day.. !!!

Our realm of fantasy

Welcome !!!
Cinderella
(supposedly??)
This was one of those exhausting yet remarkable memories I would recall even when the time comes that I'll step out of GC. It's another bonding moment not only with my co-english majors but also my instructors and COE students.

The thought of having world literature concept in our exhibit was really AMAZING. Though we didn't prepare much, we put a great deal of effort for this event. Hectic the schedule was, we still managed to create a magical realm full of immortals, fantastical characters and heroes of our nation in one. COOL !!
The most controversial of all. Ramses falling in love with Eris. What an issue! Hehe. He's chasing the goddess of mischief and discord. Careful there. Haha.

Hermes: Messenger of gods. Eduardo obviously loved his character. HA HA HA. The Hermes I saw on the movie "Odyssey" somehow resembles Edu. hehehe. Nice !

I was really worn out that I really REALLY slept there. (just a nap) haha.. imagine?? i was like Sleeping beauty (beauty?? ^_^ ) not Cinderella.. he he he. It was so darn hot but it's fine 'coz the floor was lil'cool.

This was supposed to be CENSORED. No cams when I sleep..... ohhhh.. Anyway, great thing I was covered..ahahaha..

Albeit the blazing inferno inside B09, we endured and made it 'til the judgement moment came.Wo oo.. After long hours of waiting, they finally arrived. After few minutes, they're done. It was a great experience which measured the patience of everyone. Deep within our hearts, we won the competition even without the announcement of winners. We don't need artificial and temporary reward. In fact, we won much better and that's the bond we had together for almost half a day. We couldn't ask for more.
